Terms of Use

Last updated: May 2026

1. Acceptance

By accessing HantaMap.io, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Description of Service

HantaMap.io is an outbreak intelligence and epidemiological monitoring platform. It aggregates, classifies, and visualises hantavirus-related signals from publicly available sources worldwide.

3. Not Medical Advice

HantaMap.io does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All information is analytical intelligence derived from public sources. Predictive risk forecasts are model-based estimates, not confirmed events. Always consult official health authorities (WHO, CDC, ECDC) and qualified medical professionals for health decisions.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. New accounts receive a subscriber role. Analyst and admin roles are assigned exclusively by platform administrators and cannot be self-assigned.

5. Acceptable Use

6. Data Accuracy

We strive for accuracy but make no warranties about the completeness, reliability, or timeliness of outbreak data. Open-source intelligence cannot replace official surveillance systems. Geolocation may be imprecise. Case counts reflect best-known values at time of last update.

7. Intellectual Property

HantaMap.io, its design, code, and methodology are the intellectual property of MEKOS Labs. Outbreak data from public sources retains its original licensing.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HantaMap.io and MEKOS Labs shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform, reliance on outbreak data, or inability to access the service.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting contact@hantamap.io.

10. Changes

We may update these terms periodically. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable EU and US law. Disputes shall be resolved through negotiation before any formal proceedings.
